Description
The role involves laying out, aligning, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings, and pipe. Responsibilities include installing, modifying, and repairing pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums; setting up equipment; welding pipe, plate, or structural steel with arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment; working from blueprints, sketches, and specifications; performing quality work; and assisting other mechanics. The position requires at least four years of industrial construction or maintenance industry experience.
