O-I is hiring a Combustion Engineer for its Auburn glass-packaging facility in New York. The role partners with batch and furnace management to operate glass melting furnaces safely and efficiently, optimize burner settings and energy use, monitor furnace data, support production targets, improve manufacturing efficiency, and troubleshoot process problems. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, analytical and troubleshooting skills, computer literacy, physical plant-floor work, and availability for continuous operations; a technical degree and previous supervisory or mechanical experience are preferred. The expected salary is $80,000–$95,000 plus a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus, with medical, dental, prescription, and vision coverage among the benefits.
