Description
The Communications Director (Legislative Senior Aide I) will strengthen connections with residents, media, and stakeholders for a Montgomery County Councilmember. The role develops and evaluates social media campaigns, manages external communications and newsletters, researches legislative topics, prepares speeches and press materials, and coordinates media events and public appearances. It requires at least one year of progressively responsible experience in a relevant communications or legislative field, a bachelor’s degree, and offers work both in and out of the office, including occasional evenings and weekends.
