Description
The Community Activities Specialist provides structured, individualized support to people enrolled in an In-Home Day Program, helping them develop social skills, budgeting, self-advocacy, work habits, and community access while supporting community integration and independence. The role follows Individual Program Plans and Individual Service Plans and must comply with HCBS, Title 17, and Title 22 regulations. It requires a high school diploma or GED, age 21 or older, at least two years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, at least one year of experience supporting individuals with emotional and behavioral needs, English proficiency, a valid California driver’s license, a reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday off, and pays $20.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on experience.
