Description
Weber State University is hiring an adjunct Community Education ESL Instructor for its non-credit English as a Second Language program. The instructor will teach one or two 11-week basic English courses to community adult learners as needed. This is a pooled position, with applicants selected as positions become available; the application window was open from 09/14/2026 through 10/14/2026. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree with a language endorsement or TESOL certification, ESL teaching methodology and second-language-acquisition knowledge, and at least one year of classroom ESL teaching experience. Preferred qualifications include foreign-country living experience, conversational second-language ability, two or more years of ESL classroom teaching, and adult ESL experience. A criminal background check is required.
