Description
The Salvation Army is hiring an on-call casual Community Ministry Worker to support individuals and families with basic needs through client intake, emergency food and clothing distribution, transportation vouchers, referrals, seasonal assistance programs, volunteer coordination, donation handling, and administrative reporting. The role requires use of Link2Feed, database and Microsoft Office skills, accurate confidential recordkeeping, community partnership development, strong communication and organizational abilities, and the ability to work with marginalized people, independently and collaboratively. It involves office and community work, occasional travel, flexible seasonal hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and managing challenging or potentially hazardous conditions. A minimum of two years of community college and two to three years of related experience are required, with equivalent combinations considered.
