Description
The Municipality of Anchorage is hiring a Library Services Specialist to support patrons and community resources at the Anchorage Public Library. The role provides information, navigation, outreach, activities, and volunteer coordination for vulnerable populations, and may involve restorative justice programs. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 3600 Denali Street and requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus four years of library clerical or technical experience, or an associate’s degree in Library Science or a related discipline plus two years of such experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related discipline with library experience. Applicants must also have a valid Alaska driver’s license, satisfactory background checks, and the ability to perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 pounds.
