Description
The Deputy Sheriff conducts field inspections for zoning and commercial-use compliance, investigates ordinance violations, prepares case reports, supports legal proceedings, and handles abandoned-vehicle and impound matters. The role also supports Patrol Division with traffic control, crime-scene evidence collection, and other law-enforcement duties, while working primarily in the field and occasionally in an office. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, relevant customer-service and code-enforcement experience, a valid Idaho driver’s license, and successful background and polygraph screening.
