Melwood is hiring a Community Support Assistant in LaPlata, Maryland, for 40 hours per week at $18.50 per hour. The role provides personal care, emotional support, community integration, assistance with daily living and medical appointments, monitoring of changes in a person-served’s condition, communication with case managers and program directors, and participation in required training and supervision. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong verbal and written communication skills, two years of driving experience, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting is strongly desired. The role may require use of a personal vehicle and reimbursement for mileage.
