Melwood is hiring a Community Support Assistant in LaPlata, Maryland, working 40 hours per week from Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with 10 hours on Saturday and Sunday. The role provides personal care, emotional support, community integration, assistance with daily living and medical appointments, monitoring of individual needs, and participation in recreational activities. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, two years of driving experience, and the ability to perform physically demanding assistance; experience with individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting is strongly desired. The assistant may use a personal vehicle and must follow Melwood transportation policies.
