Description
The Community Support Specialist provides individualized community-based services to children and families, assessing needs, coordinating education, medical, social, vocational, recreational, and therapeutic resources, providing transportation, supporting crisis intervention, and tracking progress. The role also supports the outpatient clinic by answering calls, directing visitors, processing payments, verifying benefits, scheduling appointments, and assisting with aftercare and telehealth activities. It requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, at least two years of experience working directly with children and families, Mississippi Community Support Specialist certification, computer skills, and the ability to use a personal vehicle as needed.
