Description
The Manager, Comparative Medicine oversees the daily operations of a laboratory animal vivarium, including animal husbandry and operations staff, training, staffing, performance management, regulatory compliance, inspections, equipment and supply management, maintenance coordination, billing, and facility planning. The role requires a bachelor's degree in biology, animal science, or a related field, an AALAS Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) certification, and five years of management and project-planning experience in an AAALAC-accredited animal research facility; a master's degree and AALAS project-management and CMAR certifications are preferred.
