Jane Street is hiring an experienced software engineer to develop code-generation functionality for the open-source OxCaml compiler. The role covers the full software-development cycle, including identifying optimizations, coding, testing, benchmarking, and deployment, and may involve intermediate representations such as CPS, SSA, and Sea of Nodes. The position involves collaboration with teams across Jane Street worldwide and seeks candidates with strong coding, debugging, low-level Linux, and compiler-toolchain experience; knowledge of x86-64 and AArch64 architectures is a plus, while OCaml and OxCaml knowledge is not required.
