Description

Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a full-time Electrical Component Engineer in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to lead or support the selection, qualification, testing, failure analysis, documentation, and supplier evaluation of electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and electro-optical components. The role coordinates with design, manufacturing, quality, procurement, survivability, and government agencies, and requires a STEM or related bachelor’s degree, US citizenship, the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, and full on-site availability. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Engineering with an emphasis on electrical parts, or equivalent work experience
Required Previous Experiences: Experience or knowledge in designing, analyzing, or constructing electrical parts and circuits, including relays, hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, and capacitors
Experience participating in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR
Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements, specifications, and program plans
Experience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis, and root-cause or corrective-action analysis for EEE parts
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with technical requirements, specifications, and program plans
Understanding of nuclear effects on EEE parts and ability to work with survivability engineers in rad-hard applications
Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements
Understanding of worst-case analysis, EEE parts derating, and end-of-life requirements
Ability to evaluate current and developing EEE technologies in complex design packages
Proficiency in AI prompting for the position
