Profluent is seeking an experienced computational scientist to lead the design, development, and operation of their NGS analysis platform, powering gene editing and protein design programs. The role involves working at the intersection of computational biology, software engineering, and experimental biology to build scalable systems for extracting actionable insights from large-scale sequencing data. The successful candidate will architect bioinformatics infrastructure, define analytical strategy, and collaborate with experimental and ML teams to accelerate design-build-test-learn cycles, while also mentoring team members and promoting software engineering best practices.
