Description
Lam is hiring a Senior Computational Chemistry Engineer to use first-principles calculations, atomistic modeling, quantum chemistry, and density functional theory to investigate semiconductor etch and deposition processes, reaction mechanisms, surface chemistry, and materials behavior. The role also develops training datasets, supports process and chamber simulations, evaluates modeling data, and communicates chemistry and process insights to stakeholders. Candidates need a Ph.D. in a relevant field, 3–5 years of industry experience after the Ph.D., and experience with DFT software and quantum-chemistry applications. The position offers hybrid On-site Flex or Virtual Flex work arrangements and a California San Francisco Bay Area salary range of $119,000 to $261,000.
