Modal is hiring a Compute Strategy and Operations lead to own the planning, procurement, sourcing, negotiation, and contracting of GPU and CPU capacity across hyperscalers, neoclouds, and datacenter operators. The role builds supplier relationships, evaluates supply options, translates engineering requirements into procurement specifications, and advises leadership on infrastructure procurement decisions. Candidates need fluency in the AI infrastructure landscape, technical knowledge of GPU architectures, networking, and SLAs, strong commercial instincts, and cross-functional collaboration with finance and engineering teams.
