Meta Reality Labs is hiring an Extended Reality Technology Research Scientist to research and apply software, computer vision, and robotic learning techniques for challenges bridging virtual and real worlds. The role focuses on developing calibration algorithms for sensors and displays, prototyping calibration automation, collaborating with cross-functional engineering and research teams, and defining projects for other engineers. Responsibilities also include contributing to code quality, AI-assisted engineering, and technical culture. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, at least two years of computer vision and perception experience, C++ or Python development, and experience with robotics perception, machine learning, computer graphics, and large-scale data lifecycles.
