Description
The Conductor operates freight trains and railcars safely and efficiently, coordinating movement through signals and radio, operating track switches, inspecting equipment, connecting air and electrical components, and completing electronic reporting. The role is full-time, physically demanding, and requires outdoor work in all weather, including up to 12-hour shifts, with varying schedules that may include nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call work. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, at least 18 years of age, and must pass medical, hearing, vision, drug, alcohol, and background screening. Two or more years of related experience is a plus, and applicants must live within 50 miles of the assigned location or be willing to relocate.
