The role combines conductor and locomotive engineer duties for railroad train operations, including compliance with railroad rules, dispatch and yardmaster instructions, equipment and locomotive inspections, radio and telephone communication, switching, minor railcar repairs, and safe locomotive operation. Applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid driver's license, have two years of verifiable work experience or college, pass assessments and background screening, meet physical and sensory requirements, and work a flexible 24-hour schedule with occasional overtime.
