Description
Genesee & Wyoming Inc. is hiring a Conductor to safely operate rail equipment in industrial or intermodal yards. The role involves coordinating train and railcar movement, operating track switches, inspecting equipment, connecting air and electrical components, completing electronic reporting, and following railroad safety regulations. It is a full-time, physically demanding position with varying 24/7 schedules, outdoor work in all weather, and shifts up to 12 hours. The position pays $24 per hour, does not pay into Railroad Retirement, and requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least 18 years of age.
