Description

Tyson & Mendes is looking for a Conflicts Analyst to join their Quality team. The role involves organizing and categorizing incoming items, running conflicts checks, conducting research on prospective clients, communicating with attorneys, assisting in conflict resolution, verifying acknowledgments, sending follow-up communications, implementing ethical screens, updating trackers, managing documents, collaborating with staff, creating SOPs, submitting receipts, and supporting additional Conflicts-related projects.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 2–3 years of experience in a law firm Conflicts Department, New Business Intake Department, Risk Management Department, or a similar legal support role.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a paralegal, legal researcher, or conflicts professional in a law firm environment.
Paralegal Certificate preferred, or completion of an ethics course through a paralegal program.
Experience performing conflicts searches, analyzing conflicts reports, and identifying potential legal and ethical conflicts.
Experience researching corporate structures, including parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliated entities.
Knowledge of legal intake, new business intake, and matter-opening procedures preferred.
Overall understanding of corporate law practice and applicable legal ethics rules.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information, identify inconsistencies, and make sound recommendations.
Strong research skills utilizing both internal and external resources.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with ProLaw preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Excellent listening, verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong work ethic, collaborative approach, and commitment to continuous improvement and process enhancement.
