The Gilchrist County Board of County Commissioners is hiring a full-time Conservation Technician for the Gilchrist Soil and Water Conservation District. The role supports agricultural producers with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Best Management Practices, including enrollment, Notices of Intent, implementation verification visits, cost-share documentation, site visits, demonstrations, workshops, and recordkeeping. Applicants need a bachelor's degree in agriculture, natural resources, or a related field, agricultural experience, Microsoft Office proficiency, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel within Gilchrist County and surrounding counties. The position pays $21.22 per hour, with an annual salary of $44,144.10 for the 2026–2027 contract year, and includes Florida Blue medical coverage, vacation and sick leave, holidays, and life insurance.
