Description
The Console Operator will operate a multi-trunk telephone console and computer equipment to process incoming, outgoing, and intra-system calls; make public-address announcements and pages; use the Amtelco physician answering service; monitor alarms and security cameras; enter data into hospital, PBX, and PC applications; assist visitors and callers; and coordinate with hospital departments. The role requires basic typing, multitasking, attention to detail, medical terminology knowledge, hospital policy and troubleshooting knowledge, effective communication, call prioritization, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
