Description
The Telecommunications Dispatcher operates emergency and non-emergency telecommunications equipment, receives and relays information, coordinates responses, dispatches units, and maintains databases and communications with law enforcement, emergency services, and other agencies. The role requires a high school diploma or GED plus one year of telecommunications or equivalent experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a valid Texas driver's license is preferred. The position works Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with some weekends and holidays, and is located at 5010 Old Manor Rd, Austin, Texas.
