Description
The Constable performs court process service, property seizures, arrests, warrant execution, bailiff duties, prisoner transport, emergency response, and other law-enforcement and security tasks under moderate supervision. The role is entry-level within the uniformed Constable series, requires a high school diploma or equivalent, no felony convictions, an active peace officer license, and completion of a TCOLE basic certification within one year. The position is based in Austin, Texas, with a Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. schedule, some holidays and weekends, and requires background checks, a physical exam, and a psychological exam.
