Description
The Construction Inspector will observe, inspect, and document construction work at District projects, including site clearing, grading, excavation, backfilling, and installation of reinforced concrete flood-control infrastructure. The role also performs constructability reviews, technical and quality-assurance reviews, risk assessments, project coordination, and technical leadership, while mentoring junior engineering staff. It is a full-time exempt position requiring a high school diploma or GED, experience reviewing consultant deliverables and managing multidisciplinary coordination, a Texas Class C driver’s license, and a Texas Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain one within six months; a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related ABET-accredited discipline is preferred.
