Description
The Mechanical Installation Engineer will support the delivery of mechanical equipment installation across a major nuclear construction programme. The role involves monitoring pumps, gearboxes and rotating equipment packages; reviewing contractor documentation and inspection findings; coordinating with logistics, quality and project controls teams; tracking progress and escalating issues; conducting site inspections; maintaining construction records; and supporting sequencing, recovery planning and resource allocation. The position requires a mechanical engineering, construction management or equivalent technical qualification, experience in complex industrial construction, rotating equipment installation knowledge, precision measuring skills, the ability to read mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, CDM and safety knowledge, and strong stakeholder and communication skills.
