Description

This role involves providing comprehensive training to construction project teams on environmental health and safety (EHS) programs, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. The individual will identify and mitigate hazards, promote safe work practices, and contribute to developing and enforcing the overall project safety program. They will also coordinate with subcontractors, conduct safety audits, and actively reduce incident rates.

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to build strong working relationships with project team members and subcontractor safety representatives.
Experience contributing to the development of overall project safety programs.
Proficiency in enforcing safety programs, policies, and procedures, along with implementing corrective actions.
Knowledge of reviewing subcontractor safety programs for completeness and compliance.
Ability to hold pre-construction planning meetings with subcontractors to review site safety programs and job hazard analyses.
Skill in gathering Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for subcontractors according to contractual requirements.
Capable of coordinating pre-construction meetings, ensuring subcontractor training aligns with OSHA standards, and conducting effective worker orientation programs.
Experience creating safety reports, analyzing metrics, and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Ability to conduct safety meetings and accurately document meeting minutes.
Responsibility for maintaining logs of subcontractors’ toolbox safety meetings and reporting to supervisors.
Expertise in conducting safety audits, recommending corrective actions, and issuing violation reports to subcontractors.
Ability to evaluate training needs and provide recommendations to subcontractors.
Commitment to actively participating in reducing project incident rates and managing regulatory exposure to achieve zero citations.
Experience administering drug screening programs, including pre-employment, post-accident, random, and cause-based screenings.
