Description

This role involves providing comprehensive training to construction project teams on environmental health and safety (EHS) programs, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. The individual will identify and mitigate hazards, promote safe work practices, and contribute to developing and enforcing the overall project safety program. They will also coordinate with subcontractors, conduct safety audits, and actively participate in incident reduction efforts.

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to build strong working relationships with project team members and subcontractor safety representatives.
Experience contributing to the development of overall project safety programs.
Proficiency in enforcing safety programs, related policies, and procedures, implementing corrective actions according to regulations and owner requirements.
Ability to review and assess subcontractor safety programs for completeness and compliance.
Skill in conducting pre-construction planning meetings with subcontractors to review safety programs and hazard analyses.
Knowledge of gathering Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for subcontractors.
Expertise in coordinating pre-construction meetings, ensuring OSHA-compliant training, and conducting effective worker orientation programs.
Ability to create and analyze safety reports, making recommendations for improvements.
Proficient in conducting safety meetings and issuing meeting minutes.
Responsibility for maintaining logs of subcontractors’ toolbox safety meetings and reporting to supervisors.
Capable of conducting safety audits, recommending corrective actions, and issuing violation reports to subcontractors.
Ability to evaluate training needs and provide recommendations to subcontractors.
Commitment to actively participating in reducing project incident rates and managing regulatory exposure.
Experience administering drug screening programs.
