Planate Management Group is hiring an experienced Construction Inspector in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to provide daily quality and compliance inspections for a four-year marine construction project to recapitalize Pier Mike at a U.S. Coast Guard base, contingent upon contract award. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, monitoring multiple construction trades, documenting deficiencies and corrective actions, preparing reports and photographs, and communicating findings to project stakeholders using Microsoft Word, PDF tools, digital photography, and construction management software. Candidates need 10 years of relevant construction experience, or 5 years combined with a four-year engineering degree and/or recent PE, PMP, or QA/QC certification, plus knowledge of building codes and structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, architectural, and civil trades.
