Description
BKF Engineers is hiring a Construction Inspector to perform onsite inspections of water, wastewater, stormwater, sewer, pipeline, treatment plant, and related civil infrastructure projects. The role verifies construction compliance with contracts, approved plans, permits, environmental regulations, and health and safety standards; coordinates with resident engineers, project managers, contractors, agencies, and the public; performs material sampling and field testing; reviews submittals, RFIs, and change orders; maintains inspection records, diaries, photo logs, and quantities; and inspects specialized systems such as pipelines, lift stations, pump stations, wells, treatment facilities, and SCADA installations. A college degree or substantial related experience, at least five years supervising or inspecting engineering construction work, a California Class C driver's license, and strong knowledge of construction standards and computer applications are required or preferred. The position offers an annual salary of $120,640 to $156,000 and hybrid work flexibility.
