Description
The Construction Inspector will perform field inspections for civil and roadway projects across Oʻahu, verifying contractor work against codes, contracts, safety requirements, drawings, and materials. The role includes documenting findings, preparing inspection reports, issuing delivery receipts, reporting discrepancies, and coordinating with project teams. It requires extensive outdoor work, independent judgment, communication, mathematical ability, computer literacy, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma; roadway experience is required, while DOT or Honolulu City & County experience and related certifications are preferred. The position is full-time or contract and pays $28–$38 per hour.
