The Orange County Sanitation District is hiring two Construction Inspectors (Civil/Mechanical) to inspect civil and mechanical construction work at treatment plants and sewer collection facilities. The role involves verifying compliance with plans, specifications, codes, regulations, and safety requirements; directing contractors; preparing inspection reports; reviewing change orders, submittals, and as-built drawings; and participating in plant start-ups, shutdowns, and tie-ins. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED supplemented by relevant training, three years of construction inspection experience on large public works projects, and a valid California Class C Driver's License. The position pays $58.20–$64.15 per hour and may require field work, SCBA use, confined-space entry, and extended hours.
