Description
The County is hiring a construction inspector/project oversight professional to inspect and oversee a broad range of public construction and maintenance projects, including water and wastewater infrastructure, roads, drainage, land development, equipment installation, and other structures. The role coordinates contractors and agencies, conducts site and materials inspections, verifies quality, safety, schedules, quantities, and contract compliance, reviews construction documentation, approves pay applications and change orders, maintains project records and estimates, responds to citizen complaints and emergencies, and coordinates work with public agencies and utilities. An associate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field and three years of relevant experience are required, along with a valid Georgia driver’s license; additional operator, CDL, and erosion-control certifications may be required for select positions.
