Description
TxDOT is hiring a Construction Inspector I in Laredo, Texas, to inspect and monitor roadway, bridge, traffic signal, airport, and related construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, safety standards, traffic-control requirements, and applicable codes. The role includes contractor coordination, progress documentation, payment calculations and recommendations, change-order review, construction records, materials testing, data collection, and issue resolution. No prior experience is required; a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid United States driver's license are required. The position is physically demanding, requires driving a state vehicle, and is subject to pre-employment physical and drug testing.
