Description
The Construction Inspector performs daily inspections of construction projects, monitoring quality and compliance with building codes, construction drawings, project specifications, and applicable testing procedures. The role includes visual and physical inspections, field testing, report preparation, communication of findings to engineers or project managers, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and assistance with senior inspectors. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–4 years of engineering technician or applicable experience, and at least one relevant construction inspection or materials-testing certification; an associate degree in civil or construction engineering technology is preferred.
