Description
The Construction Inspector performs daily field inspections of construction projects, including structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, and related disciplines. The role involves reading construction drawings and specifications, conducting visual and physical inspections and field testing, documenting nonconformances, preparing inspection reports, communicating findings to project managers and engineers, coordinating testing and inspection activities, maintaining equipment and calibration, and following safety procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–4 years of construction inspection experience, a valid driver’s license, and multiple construction-related certifications, with an associate degree in Civil or Construction Engineering Technology preferred.
