Techno is hiring a Mechanical Inspector to support field activities across active water infrastructure projects in the New York City metro area. The role involves observing construction, comparing installed conditions to contract drawings and specifications, tracking piping, pumps, valves, and structural elements, maintaining daily logs, identifying non-conforming work, coordinating with contractors and field teams, reviewing materials and submittals, participating in inspections, and monitoring site safety. Candidates need hands-on civil or mechanical construction inspection experience, familiarity with water systems and public works, knowledge of pumps and piping, drawing-reading ability, and documentation skills; a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is beneficial but not required. Compensation is $50-$60 per hour, with health, dental, life, and vision insurance among the benefits.
