Description

Planate Management Group is hiring an experienced Construction Manager to support the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades project at the Doris Miller Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Waco, Texas. The role involves managing construction submittals, schedules, inspections, documentation, RFIs, change orders, closeout, and commissioning support while ensuring compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, TJC, OSHA, and VA policies. The position is contingent on contract award and is expected to start on September 1, 2026, with a potential one-year base period plus one option year. Candidates must have healthcare/hospital facility experience, a relevant bachelor's degree or substantial field experience, and at least five years of verifiable construction field experience on similar projects.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 10 years of progressively responsible construction field experience in lieu of a degree
5 years of verifiable construction work experience in field construction activities, quality assurance, and contractor performance monitoring
Experience completing 3 comparable construction projects
Preferred Qualifications: Prior hospital or healthcare facilities experience
Working knowledge of construction practices, site operations, construction documents, and baseline schedules
Proficiency in construction management and scheduling software
Knowledge of TJC, OSHA, and VA policies and design standards
Ability to obtain VA PIV clearance and complete privacy and cyber security training
Valid US driver’s license and favorable NACI
