Description
The Construction Materials Testing Technician performs field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. The role involves transporting samples, preparing and submitting written and digital reports, communicating results to project and engineering personnel, maintaining equipment and work areas, assisting with technician scheduling, and following safety and quality standards. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training, computer and Microsoft Office skills, and a valid driver’s license; several construction, geotechnical, welding, nondestructive testing, and radiation-safety certifications are listed as preferred or required.
