Description
DCCM is hiring a Construction Observer II to oversee field inspection and observation of highway and bridge construction activities under a Project Manager. The role includes maintaining inspection records, preparing reports, reviewing contracts and cost data, monitoring traffic control and safety compliance, recommending payments and change orders, assisting with estimates and as-built documentation, and training less experienced inspectors. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least five years of roadway and bridge inspection experience, a valid Class C driver’s license, Microsoft Office experience, pavement construction knowledge, required certifications, and the ability to work flexible day, night, or project schedules while traveling outside the Houston area.
