Description
The Construction Project Estimator prepares detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, plans, and specifications; performs quantity take-offs; gathers vendor, subcontractor, and internal data; develops budgets; and presents estimates to management or clients. The role also monitors construction progress, updates estimates for scope or cost changes, attends pre-construction meetings and site visits, and assesses cost-effectiveness. Required qualifications include construction knowledge, analytical and communication skills, estimating software proficiency, technical-drawing interpretation, and 3–5 years of experience with residential, commercial, or civil projects.
