CME Associates, Inc. is hiring a Construction Special Inspector to perform inspections and material testing on high-profile commercial projects throughout the Greater Elmira, New York area. The role covers soils, concrete, asphalt, reinforced concrete, masonry, welding and bolting, fireproofing and firestopping, and geotechnical investigations, including interpreting drawings and specifications, recording test results, communicating with project managers, and completing field reports. Candidates need an HS diploma, a relevant degree, an ICC or ACI special-inspector certification, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license. Compensation is $23–$32 per hour, with health, dental, vision, retirement, savings account, supplemental insurance, and paid time off benefits for full-time employees.
