Description
Sparklight is hiring a Construction Technician II to work with the construction team on outside-plant projects. The role installs, maintains, and repairs aerial and underground cable infrastructure, including fiber optic, coax, copper, conduits, handholes, pedestals, cabinets, vaults, and utility poles. Duties include trenching, plowing, vacuum excavation, cable pulling, equipment operation, line maintenance, traffic control, and job-site safety. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of aerial and underground construction experience in the cable or telephone industry, with possible day, evening, night, overtime, emergency call-out, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
