Description
The Construction Technician installs, services, tests, and troubleshoots fiber-optic video, voice, and internet services for commercial and residential customers. The role includes pulling low-voltage wire, installing and connecting CAT5/CAT6 drop wire, working with RF and cellular systems, trenching and conduit installation, coordinating utility locates, and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of cable, phone, and internet installation, testing, and troubleshooting experience, fiber-optic cabling experience, tool proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and comfort working at heights.
