Description
The Container Checker inspects damaged shipping containers for internal and external damage, prepares damage reports according to IICL standards or customer guidelines, records damage codes, translates them into repair estimates, assesses necessary repairs, and coordinates with truck drivers, dockworkers, and depot colleagues. The role is full-time at 38 hours per week across rotating early, late, and night shifts, with a temporary agency contract that may become permanent after six months. Compensation is €18 to €19 per hour plus €7 daily meal vouchers, and the position requires a technical background, container and welding knowledge, physical outdoor work, a certificate of good conduct, and a personal car.
