Description

Glean is hiring a Content Systems Engineer to own the quality, organization, and maintenance of connector documentation. The role combines technical writing with programming, information architecture, and AI-driven automation to build deterministic checks, content pipelines, agents, and workflows that keep documentation accurate, fresh, and aligned with complex authentication, permissions, deployment, and troubleshooting requirements. The engineer will partner with engineering, product, QA, support, field teams, and customers, and the position is hybrid with three days per week in Glean’s Bangalore office.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technical communication, engineering, or another relevant field
Required Previous Experiences: 8-10 years of professional experience creating or maintaining technical documentation for a complex software product
Experience independently building, debugging, testing, and maintaining scripts, agents, automations, or content pipelines
Experience with docs-as-code or software-development workflows, including Git, GitHub, command-line tools, code review, and CI/CD
Advanced practical experience using AI beyond one-off content generation
Strong knowledge of technical-writing and content-design principles
Ability to learn a technically complex product deeply and explain how it works with authority
Clear communication and collaboration with engineers, product managers, QA, support teams, field teams, and subject-matter experts
Customer-focused approach to evaluating documentation quality and prioritizing improvements
Willingness and ability to work on-site full time in Glean’s Bangalore office
Recent professional experience in software development, test automation, or quality assurance
Experience building automated tests or content-quality checks with tools such as Playwright
Experience documenting enterprise software, APIs, authentication systems, permissions models, integrations, or administrative workflows
Familiarity with API specifications and structured documentation sources, including OpenAPI
Experience working directly with customers or conducting structured customer research
Experience defining service-level objectives or other measurable standards for documentation freshness and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript
