Description
The GS-09 Quality Assurance Specialist inspects, reviews, and certifies maintenance, repair, renovation, and minor construction contracts and services across administrative, training, barracks, dining, medical, recreational, range, utility, and transportation facilities. The role evaluates contractor performance, monitors schedule, cost, and technical compliance, develops surveillance procedures, and tracks proposed contract modifications. Applicants must meet one of several employment-authority categories and qualify through specialized experience, graduate education, or a combination of both; a valid Alaska driver's license and possible irregular hours are also required.
