Description
The Contract Specialist assists the Contract Administrator with contract preparation, execution, monitoring, compliance, renewals, and closure. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts and MOUs, maintaining contract databases and files, supporting audits and public-records responses, preparing compliance reports, and assisting with Board and committee materials. The role requires an associate degree in a relevant field, three years of public or private business experience involving Texas procurement and contracting laws, and knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems; a bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, and Texas higher-education experience are preferred.
